On Saturday, 28 September, the Carey and Brown labs co-hosted an open house event at the Blacksburg Nature Center on “What’s in your neighborhood pond or stream?”  We had a great turnout, and had a lot of fun showing off some local zooplankton and crayfish we collected on campus, as well as demonstrating our limnological prowess with an Ekman grab.
